As Women of First Light, we are not rematriating for ourselves alone—we are rematriating for those who came before and those yet to be born and for the land

Our vision includes:

• Creating a safe space for all, to rest, to heal, to learn, to connect.

• Reforesting the grounds, bringing back medicinal plants and berries.

• Offering land-based programs in food sovereignty, language revival, matriarchal governance, Ceremonies, building a sweat lodge and rites of passage..

• Building a Wabanaki Longhouse that holds 100-200 people in ceremony.

• Creating mini wigwam cabins for visiting families, Elders, and youth.

• Developing housing for Indigenous caretakers and seasonal staff for the Tatamagouche Centre.
